Why Rutba Sign
Anyone can put a picture of a signature on a page. What decides a dispute two years later is whether you can still show what happened: who opened it, from where, what disclosure they accepted, in what order, and that not one byte has moved since. Rutba Sign records that ceremony as it happens, hash-chains it so it cannot be reordered or thinned, and seals it. The counterparty can verify the result without an account, without trusting us, and without paying anything.

Sign
Compose an envelope (documents, parties, signing order, fields, expiry), then track it and collect the sealed result.
Running for organizations, each on its own instance: the composer, tracking, the ceremony and public verification. The shared instance for individuals is built on the same app. Fields are placed by clicking on the rendered page, by coordinates, or by anchor text the document carries; signers complete them in the ceremony, and the executed copy draws every mark and value on the pages of the original PDF. Documents can be drafted from answers to a few questions, and a shelf of starter agreements is ready to copy.
Signing engine

Built and green, with the evidence ledger, the seal, an RFC 3161 timestamp from a public authority and the platform countersignature. It also carries the integrator API with your own keys, signed webhooks, an OpenAPI document and a dependency-free SDK, and the agreement lifecycle: calendars, renewals and formalities. Around 231 automated checks stand behind it, including both tamper directions and the owner’s whole journey end to end.
Verify
AvailableThe public check: paste the reference from a document and see whether Rutba countersigned it, and when. No account, and free forever.
Live, and free forever: anybody holding a signed document checks it at rutba.io/sign/verify without an account, without a subscription and without trusting us. Rutba answers what it can attest (this reference was presented to us at this time, with the countersignature to check against our published key) and nothing about the document itself, which it never sees. A single party’s receipt verifies the same way, countersigned the moment they acted. Whether the package itself is intact is the Sign app’s own check, where the package is actually in hand.
